How much solar do I need?
It depends on the appliances you want to power, how many hours you use them each day, and how long you want backup power to last. Use our calculator for a preliminary estimate, then book a site assessment for a confirmed system size.
How many appliances can solar power?
A correctly sized system can power anything from a few lights and a TV to a full household including air conditioning. The difference is in inverter, battery and panel capacity, which is exactly what the calculator estimates.
How long will the battery last?
Battery runtime depends on your battery capacity and how much load you're running. Longer backup durations and heavier loads (like AC) both require more battery capacity.
Can solar power an AC?
Yes, but air conditioning significantly increases both the inverter and battery requirements because of its running and startup (surge) power. Our calculator accounts for this and will flag AC-heavy usage.
What is the difference between inverter and battery capacity?
The inverter (rated in kVA) determines how much load you can run at once. The battery (rated in kWh) determines how long you can run that load without sunlight or grid power.
How many panels do I need?
Panel count depends on your daily energy usage and the panel wattage chosen. Our calculator estimates the required solar array capacity and converts it into a panel count using the panel wattage configured in our catalog.
Does the calculator give an exact quotation?
No, it gives a preliminary, estimate-based recommendation. Final sizing, equipment selection and pricing are confirmed after a professional site assessment.
Why is site assessment important?
A site visit confirms your actual electrical setup, roof conditions, cabling requirements and any constraints the calculator can't see. This is what turns an estimate into a firm, installable design.
Can I expand my system later?
In many cases yes, particularly if the inverter and mounting are sized with some headroom. Ask your assessment specialist about expansion options for your specific setup.
How long does installation take?
Typical residential installations take one to a few days depending on system size and site complexity; your specialist will confirm a timeline during assessment.
